the Ruby Redfort series
Nightbird, by Alice Hoffman.
Ancient magic, from a centuries-old family curse to the dangers facing its current victim. Twelve-year-old Teresa Anne (Twig) Fowler and her mum live alone in the woods near the quaint town of Sidbury, Massachusetts -- or so the townsfolk think.
In fact, their attic holds a family secret: James, Twig's older brother, the latest victim of a centuries-old curse.
i am reading the coldest girl in cowtown. This book sounds steriotypical
but it is about vampires. Vampires are usually forced to go into a "cold town" a closed off city for vampires. In this book a girl named Tana has to take her bitten friend and a vampire to a cold town were they meet up with many people and have to face many challenges on the way and there.
The Coldest Girl in Cold Town,
It is about a girl called Tana who lives in a world where vampires are are caught and get in cold towns but some get out. One night she goes to a party and falls a sleep when she wakes up all her friends are dead except her friend Aidan and a vampire waiting in the corner. I personally really enjoyed this book and i think anyone how likes dystopia and/or vampires this is the book for you.

I have been reading 'All I know' by Carrie Hope Fletcher, the book is an autobiography of Carrie's life from when she was a young teenager till when she left school. The book shows tips and stories of what to do in situations and ways to be happy and confident at school. The book is really funny and I recommend it!
It sounds like we need to buy this book for the library!

At the moment, I have started reading the second book of the Inheritance Cycle. The first book that in this series is called Eragon, and Ii is a fantasy story, set in a time period similar to the medieval times. It is about a farm boy who discovers a dragon while he was hunting. When the egg hatches he raises it and goes on dangerous adventure.
Did you enjoy Eragon, Niamh? Have you moved onto the next in the series?

The Perfectionists series
The author is Sara Shepherd
This series consists of two books that are called:
The Perfectionists and The Good Girls
they are the best books that I've read this year. They're about 4 girls who all have something against this popular boy and when he mysteriously ends up dead they try hard to keep their secret of jokingly plotting to kill him... but soon after other peers who they wanted dead started to die, and they became main suspects.
Incorporated into this book was: love, lies, secrets and mystery
We don't have these Tianna! I'll order them in! :)

Another good book to get in for our library. Thanks Denica!
I have just finished quite a short novel called Dustbin baby by Jacqueline Wilson. This novel is about a girl who's mother places her in a dustbin when she is born. She moves from foster home to foster home, never settling properly as she is misunderstood and gets pushed into lots of bad situations. The book is made up of flashbacks from her past that clarify her present situation.
What did you think of this story Alice?
The book that I'm really liking at the moment is Switched by Amanda Hocking. This book is about a teenage girl called Wendy (around 18) who's mother went crazy when she was 6 years old. Wendy lives with her Aunt Maggie and her 'brother' Matt. When she goes to high school she finds this boy always looking at her. One day something goes wrong, she finds Finn at her window telling her that she's not normal and that she is part of a Trylle tribe. She doesn't believe him until she can't get it off her mind. Does she go with Finn to meet her real mum? Does she go and leave Aunt Maggie and Matt? This is the biggest decision she's ever going to take!
Interesting Brianna! What was your final verdict?
I have read the book 'My Left Foot' by Christy Brown, it is a very inspiring autobiography. It is about a boy who was born and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The book is mainly about his life and how he progresses through learning how to write and different experiences he goes through.
Great to see you reading this Maddison! have you recommended this to your friends?
